    Lions and tigers and bears

    Okay, just tiger... Is this too soft? 40D 75/300 @ 300, F5.6, 1/2000, iso:640

    Personally I don't think its to soft at all.
    Something does bother me about but I can't quite put my finger on what it is, maybe the stark black behind him is a little too powerful.

    I think it's a beautiful shot though.

    Thanks for the feedback. Is this version better do you think? In the original, I felt that the background was washed out and sort of muddy, so I selected it and brought the blacks up.

    Also how does the 2nd image look to you (anyone)? I don't like the composition with the tiger basically cut in half. Is that a good judgement?

    I like the first composition and it looks sharp to me. I think the light was very strong so one half of his face is bright and the other is darker because of the shadow. I like the black background which keeps my attention on the main subject.

    Tigers are just so beautiful.

    After looking at the original I like the first one you posted. As Chris says it does hold your attention to the tiger.

    The second pic doesn't work for me for a few reasons; Comp, color, and motion blur.

    Hi the second one needs a touch more contrast to make it pop, not sure I like the composition with those trees, but that 1st one is excellent
