Are the lights on the left too distracting?

This is another shot of BW400CN, with a fair bit of brightness and contrast adjustment as well as being desaturated.

    Thanks for looking

Re: Are the lights on the left too distracting?

While i think most might feel they do distract, i find it to be ok. I do think that a crop can help alot here. Crop off the left side to eliminate the three poles and lights and then up a bit from the bottom. that takes care of most of the harsh lights and helps the overall framing too.
I like the gritty look of this scene.
    Nice work

I would dodge them down a bit (or whatever trick you use to get the same effect). In their current state they are a bit distracting, but if "dimmed" a bit I think they could add to the image.
Please ask before editing my photos, I'll say yes

I like to take the pictures...

To me the first set of lights on the far left are, maybe a smidge of a crop, the rest work with the feel of the photo to me. I like it!

You don't need those lights, IMO.

I agree. Crop about 2/3rds the left side of the building and level the fence post. Nice gritty feel as Gary wrote. Nice find.

Re: Are the lights on the left too distracting?

Thanks guys. I wasn't too sure if it was distracting, or if it added some balance to the photo. IE - bright on the left and dark on the right.

I might have a go at cropping.

    Cheers.
