    Lights

Okay, this is pretty different from my norm...but I like the results and I'm interested in others' opinions on it.
This was taken at the mall when I took my girls to see Santa...they had some lights strung up underneath the skylights...I really liked the effect.

I should add that I played with the lighting and contrasts a bit...

    Re: Lights

Excellent composition. I especially like the way the lights keep flowing to the bottom of the frame....it looks like a starry night.

I agree...it reminds of 2 Borg cubes (from Star Trek) travelling through space together...

That's pretty neat... did you try cloning out the window frames, as it would make it a lil more abstract. Cool capture still.

    Re: Lights

At first I thought it was a space photo! I like how the portals are mostly symmetric. I think the lights are awesome! I only wish that the lights extended a little farther right, so that they'd be as symmetric as the openings. it sure looks like rainwater dripping down here, or maybe Gamma rays from space Glad you stuck with B&W, it works here...

    Re: Lights

Nice, but I wish you hadn't pinched the edge of the right hand window.

It's a fault I suffered form a lot taking conference photos, people would wave their hands while talking and I'd cut their fingertips off at the edge of the frame because I shot too tight on the subject.

    Re: Lights

Thanks Paul & GB...I appreciate your thoughts on this. Paul, I know what you mean about the tight crop...unfortunately, sometimes that's how they end up for me too...lol.
And GB...I know what you mean about the symmetry too...and I like the thought that the lights look like rainwater.
