    Lightning + Racecar

It's been a while since I posted anything, but here we go.

I started with this, forgot to change ISO from 800 from when I was trying to shoot the storm while it was further away.

Here's the edit, after creating artificially bracketed images and tweaking a few other general settings in Lightroom, combining in Photomatix, and cropping/unsharp mask in GIMP.

I'm not sure if the lit-up break in the clouds is interesting enough to be worth breaking the rule of thirds. I'm leaning towards no and might crop to the fencepost on the left.

The parking lights are on because I was on a narrow country road that was very dark. The light all came from lightning and the car's lights.

    Re: Lightning + Racecar

I would be tempted to crop some of the right and some of the sky then clone out that fence post . The car is too central in the image I feel. Still it's a great shot as presented, you are fortunate to capture a big lightning bolt such as this so well

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I have no issues with you editing my photos
