    A Light Shines Upon Them

Captured on Memorial Day. These are bricks laid in the walkway of the Veterans Memorial Park here in town. Any vet or family of a vet can purchase a brick inscribed with name, branch of service, and other information. They are then placed by the pertinent memorial block of marble.

Hi John .. I really like that first one. It is poignant (as I find all similar memorials to be). The light shining across them isn't too intense, but is enough. Just names, but someone's father, husband, brother, son.

That first one with the lighting is excellent in the way it focuses the eye on one specific brick and makes you wonder what the person saw in his time in the Coast Guard.

Well done to spot this. I really like it.

Thanks guys. That's what I was going for. The second picture is just there for a frame of reference to show what the place is like.

Excellent captures John, particularly the first one which I find to be a very powerful image. Just as a different way of looking at things, I would harshen up the lighting on the first one a bit more to add to the mood/feel of it. Well done

    Happy Shooting,

Hard to resist great light isn't it? :ihih: Well done controlling it and making a sidewalk look like more than just a sidewalk. The simple compositions are often the best.
