I like it and since I'm American the change looks more exotic like found treasure instead of mundane like my own change bucket. Your flashlight lighting is creative and I enjoy the directive lighting saying ah, you've just cracked the lid of the treasure box! Neat shot.

Great pic...I like it a lot. Interesting lighting and simple too.

Great concept. I wonder how the same scene would look if lit with early morning sunlight coming through blinds or such. I don't know if it's the quality of your light or the angle, but it looks a bit too unnatural for me. But then again, perhaps that's your point

Ah! so it true all the Gog's are rich :-)

Great shot but the frame doesn't work with the photo for me, I would like to see more white space between the photo and the black frame if you want the frame.

One really minor minor minor nit pic - a bit of the table seems to be showing through at the bottom left corner.

I really like this work. The treasure chest analogy is perfect.
It makes me want to see what's coming next.

    Re: Light Change

I like it. One idea might be to have the light spread out slightly more from one corner to the other. Might lend more of a sense of discovery to the image as viewing a treasure for the first time. Good basic non-intrusive frame for this format as well!

    Re: Light Change

Barty, nice work and good creativity. i like it, but would like it more if the light were spread out into one of the dark corners a bit. right now, it looks like a diagonal line of light. A bit less light on that upper right corner and a little more illumination on one of the darker areas would be better, i feel. Very good

Great concept, well excecuted! I like the way the light works covering only part of the booty! Argh, Matey's, thar's treasure to be plundered! ;)

Exact same thought that came to me when I first saw this.

Also, I think this would make a great stock photo that would probably sell very well. Good job barty.
