    Life...trying something different

Noticed this tonight as I was finishing up studying. Had just rebuilt my wheel the other day so had parts lying on my desk. Happened to be lying on a ski mag. First shot is of that. A few things got added and taken out as I went. Havent really tried anything like this before so would appreciate any comments. Imagine a few people on here could probably connect with this if I shot it right.

    Re: Life...trying something different

I like your last 2 images the best but they are really too dark to get much more out of them than an impression of bike bits and beer cans.

OTOH my monitor at work is a little dark and these might look better on my MAC at home.
    No, I DON'T need that.

I like the 3rd and 4th pic the most..seems more balanced..(they still make Pabst?)..perhaps a little more DOF ..4 I think needs a little cropped off the bottom.
Please ask to edit photos and I'll do the same!
    Thx, Rod

    Re: Life...trying something different

I like the first one as there is enough depth of field for my eyes to wander through the shot and the items seem to lead from one to the other. The others have one thing sharp and then there isn't enough focus for me to want to look at the rest.

I like the overall clarity of the first photo.
Of course, I am also partial to pics of "unposed" subjects.
    Thanks for the post

    Re: Life...trying something different

Thanks for the comments guys. Ill see if I cant lighten them up a little bit and play with the crops some. I was playing with depth of field and focus points throughout. Was a little tricky but think it was a good exercise/reminder. Of course they still make pabst jk  Dave- Im definitely partial to unposed subjects too which is way this was a little different. Funny since the first one might be the best and its the least posed. All I did was move the rotor over a little bit to line up the circles.
