Welcome to the Critique Forum. You seem to be going for an abstract woodland image. It's certainly different. Could you explain more about what you were going for? Your title seems at odds with your imagery and I'm curious about what the link is. Also why did you choose to single out these branches with your focus? The background seems too soft and obstructed for you to be trying to frame it with them. It seems like an older cemetery and has a dim sort of Halloween dream feel to it which is interesting. Do you have any alternate angles of this scene to compare with this? If so please share.
Not here I'm afraid. I like the concept. It would also be a good picture in the winter when the leaves are gone. I like the way it is framed and the leaning of the tree.

The judges at a competition would say that if you have to put too much imagination and interpretation into the shot, then it is not a good shot. Impact and visual communication have to be present in a photo, and if they are not, then it is back to the drawing board to consider more carefully your choices and subjects for shooting.

is more important than knowledge"... I have MUCH to learn about photography; I
consider myself less than even a beginner when it comes to the technological end
but the artistic vision of photography is what I enjoy so for you to say it is imaginative
to me is a good thing. I have to knuckle down and learn the nuts and bolts so to speak
to make my pics more effective I know but right now I am having a good learning experience. I really appreciate your comments, knowledge and keen eye.
CL, I'm sorry I overlooked your second paragraph when replying to you earlier. I just thought the view through the tree branches was interesting. I was trying to go for a
spooky feel though and as for the title I was in a hurry when posting and just went with
what popped into my head first. It seems like a scene a group of campers or hikers
would chance upon or a setting for a "ghost tale"around a campfire. The cemetary dates
back to the 1800's. For some kooky reason I like cemetaries; especially old statues
and angels. I've thought about doing a series of shots focusing on that. Thanks again
