    Had Out My Old Pentax Slr And Was Looking At The Shutter On The Lens When I Got An Idea For A Pic

    It looks like looking through a Kaleidescope.

    Nice image Jay. How much post work did you do to this? Or was it all in teh lighting?

    it was almost all lighting i just darkened then lens a bit to make it a little more orange but its not far off from the original

    i have one exactly like that.. works very nicely on my pentax dslr.. as does all the old pentax glass..

    yea it worked great for its time but i haven't used it in a long time. been using my fz-20 which is getting pretty old too but still takes great pictures for me so i cant complain. Leica makes some great glass.

    Like the shot, and the way the colours are caught in the lens !
    However, I feel the lighter shadow on the left distracts slightly from the overall effect.
    A solid dark surround would emphasise the impact of the lens and colour.
    Nice effect ! :thumbsup:

    interestingly j-dog i have an FZ20 as well.. he he

    but old or not the 50mm 1.7 is my yardstick for lens testing sharpness.. i dont use it much cos i cant be doing with manual foucs.. but its the lens i compare everything else with..

    they now fetch good money on ebay.. check it out..
