    Legs

From an earlier outing at the boardwalk in Santa Cruz. I was looking for something a little different and saw this. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

    Re: Legs

    The colors are fantastic.

I think this one is almost perfect. The proximity of the red car to the tower kinda throws it off just a bit. I think, ideally, I'd want to see a bit more seperation between the cars and the tower and the tower itself more centered.

Then again, there are SO many cool possibilities you could do with this subject. Did I mention that the colors were great?

    Canon EOS 350D
    Canon EF 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 USM
Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM
    Sigma 18-50mm f/3.5-5.6 DC
    Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG
    Canon 50mm f/1.8 II
    Canon Speedlight 430EX

That is some great light and color you got there but are the highlights blown on the legs? Hard to tell in this small of an image...

BTW great composition, idea and capture.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Re: Legs

Ken, thanks for the nice feedback. I had the same concerns about the red car being too close to the tower. I shot a number of shots here and the spacing was such that I couldn't really get them positioned exactly right. I have a couple where they're both at the top and look like some strange two headed lollipop.

MB1, thanks for your comments as well. I'll have to go back and look at the larger size, but I don't think the legs are blown out, but your comment indicates that if nothing more they might be too bright.

I really appreciate the feedback. Is there anything else that would improve the shot?

For what it's worth, here's another from a different perspective.

    Re: Legs

The photo is an original one and a grabber. I think the title is interesting--it brings me to the photo. Then when I see what you actually did I chuckle as it the title were part of a joke. This is a very good and popular artistic technique--it's almost like a gee-that's-what-he-meant technique.
