    Leaning on a Friend

From my hike in the Shen Valley Nat Park some 2 weeks ago ...this is a 3 shot HDR with "creative" effect ...so if you see something weird - I probably did "mean it" - but - does it work? Thanks!

Works for me! It's a very dramatic image which instantly transported me back to a cold and harsh backpacking trip I took sometime in the mid-90s. Not sure I'd do much to it other than maybe crop out the lower horizontal rock.

Everything about this image I find quite appealing, I think you have got the composition, texture, and mood just right IMO. Only thing I find out of place is the title as this looks almost combative to me.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I love the sky and HDR effect on the trees, but hate it on the rock(s). I guess this is personal taste. Maybe you could cut and paste the original non-HDR rock overtop this one and get the best of both worlds?
