    Matt - Nice concept.

    I think you basically have the right technique. I've tried this stuff before and found that it might work best if you fire the shutter *just* as or after the cue strikes the cue ball. And if the shooter can hold steady. That way the stick and shooter is relatively sharp but the balls are moving. This might take a little "posing" on your side, and of course the people will have to cooperate by not moving.

    Not sure the cropping you did here. I almost want to see the expressions of the players. It adds the human element.

    The uncropped original does not show any of the faces, so you're not missing much. I understand what you are saying about the timing of shutter release and keeping the player still. Thank you for the criticism.
