    Last lot

I have a heap of other photos that I should share, but since I have added a lot already in a short period of time I figure I'll wait.

These are of my girlfriend who I suddenly asked to model while I was walking home. Again, natural light in a park near my house. Also of a bee who was just hanging around doing his own little thing in my front yard.

    Any input is appreciated.
    Thanks again.

The first is fantastic and really good use of desaturation/split toning. Really delicate and flattering.

I think the bee is a little underexposed, although the flower looks good.

First one is best -- the mystery you captured is interesting. Also photo no. 3 -- if it has a flower in it, I like it. Your background is gorgeous and with a little more light on that bee, it is fabulous.

I like everything in the portraits except I wonder where her elbows went.

    Re: Last lot

    Danny,

Welcome to the boards. Might be better to post the bee in a separate thread next time, though I guess you could say that they're related as they could all be captured on a walk home (!).

The top shot of your friend is almost there. I like her pose and the sepia coloring. It has both a posed and casual look at the same time. I also like how you blurred the background to make the shot her. A few things knock it down a letter grade or two though: her elbow being clipped off like that (ooooohh.. would have been so nice to see it all), likewise with the top of her hair. A bit of an exposure blow out on her arm.

One great thing on that shot again is, you didn't seem to catch your reflection in her sunglasses. I know how hard that is!

The second shot of her has potential but it's also too blown out on one side of her. I don't mind her head being slightly clipped, but the elbow clip hurts the shot. Finally, for a shot like this to work I think it needs to be a little darker ...

I like the bee capture. But I am more drawn to your model photography.
