    Lamp Post

Was only shot in black and white in the cam. Something that i wanted to experiment with on my last trip but probably will never do again since it's easy to turn it in to a black and white in post production but going the other way is way more difficult.

Outstanding, Liban. Absolutely great. A great eye to spot and see the potential for this frame and to frame it right.

Thanks Gary, I'm glad u like it! The geometric shape of this lamp was what drew me in.

Also what works so well here for me is the time of day with the perfect balance of lighting bringing detail to the buildings and a soft smooth tone of gray to the sky. Then the lights themselves are bright and dispersed creating a sort of floral/blooming effect, but still are not blown out. Even if they were blown out it would be great, but the lighting was so perfectly balanced that everything here is in tact just right.

    Re: Lamp Post

I really like this Liban, but at the same time I think it is missing a dash of color, like red. I really love the lamppost and lights, but feel that the bottom buildings tend to crowd it a little, creating a tight feeling. Maybe that is what others are seeing and love though? It does seem like a flower squeezing through the clutter to the warm skies.
