I like this one Gary, but the other one is way better! The color version of it.
For me it's the flags and the other ship.
Those two elements make a big difference.

I prefer the other shot (colour) over this one. For some reason, this one just doesn't move me.

Of the 2 pics I actually prefer this version. I love seeing all that water in the scene as the taxi speeds along & Lady Liberty in the bg. Good action here& the colors are so rich. Like this composition alot.

Nicely composed with the rule of thirds in mind. Boat coming into picture and leaving room to see where it is going. Excellent example to beginners on composing. Well done.

[Overbeyond]

The time of day that this was taken makes it a lovely picture. The sailboat in the left background aids the composition really well too. Had the boats swapped places it would have even been better.
very easy on the eye.
