    LA skyline

Waited about an hour for the light to get right for these. I was happy to not get locked in the lookout park as well.

    Re: LA skyline

The one major thing I see wrong with this photo is the horizon line is crooked. It's a nice shot, but would be an even stronger image if you could fix that horizon line so it's straight.

    Good job though.

    Re: LA skyline

I've taken many shots from that same lookout point.

In addition to the horizon being crooked, I think you took this a little too late. A little earlier and you'd see more detail in the skyline/city and have a pretty rich, dark blue sky.

And since you have a pretty horizontal aspect ratio, you could crop in a little from the left. There's nothing of Downtown in the city lights and the foreground is just complete blackness.

    Re: LA skyline

The bright side of getting there early is that I have a plethora of shots from earlier as well. thanks for the suggestion.

I agree with one of the above posts -- the horizon is a little crooked and the timing may be a little off in that it was too late. Nonetheless, it was a job well done.

    Re: LA skyline

Besides all the other comments, what I see this one needing is more subject, so I would zoom in. Also consider turning it into more of a panoramic shot, e.g., clip off part of that sky, Very decent location to shoot from.
