    Kristyn

I used an onboard Canon 550 EX flash and gold reflector.

IMO, the 2nd one has the best tones, contrast and lighting. Though I would get rid of all that dead space behind her.

The 1st one's composition is superior to #2 but the lighting and pose aren't as good.

i seem to remember these shots were posted a while ago. are they the same ones?

i like the one where she is sitting up, facing the camera, although I would lighten it up just a tad.

Some may have been and if so, my apologies. I'm never sure what sites I have photos posted and may have added them to this site already.

She really stands out against the background in all the shots. The lighting is pretty much dead on, but it might have also benefited from a gold or silver reflector just to add a little color. Or perhaps a slight warming filter. I like #1 and #2 the best, prob more to do with the model's expression in those and not the photography. All are very good!

Oops. Just read your post and you DID use a gold reflector. I can tell on this monitor I'm looking at them with now btw.

No problem. Actually, I think the gold reflector was too small and I had some areas of her skin that came out a golden color and some that are too white but hey, ya gotta learn somehow. Thanks for the comments, they only make my shooting better.

the same critique i gave last time still applies here - good looking model, but i dont think shes giving a fabulous expression - you should try and help her let loose and not be so uptight, she looks like shes really forcing a half-smile in each shot. also, i think it may be a bit heavy on the make up. the last shot is my fave, the most natural looking.

    Re: Kristyn

This was her first real shoot and she was very nervous. Believe me, she was much more relaxed in these photos than she was early in the shoot and we also found that she had a better look with a closed smile. The reason for the make-up is she is a cheerleader/dancer for a professional football team and is used to putting on heavier make-up so she can been seen by the crowd. I like the last one as well and it was one of the last of the shoot, when she was much more relaxed. Thanks for the input, it all helps.
