    Korean War Veterans Memorial

I made it down to the Korean War Veterans Memorial at sunrise just after the first snowfall. The Park Service hadn't emptied the reflecting pool yet and someone had left a couple of roses in the pool overnight.

I kind of like the shot where the ice crystals on the roses are in focus. Everyone else seems to like the other shot of the roses and the shot without any roses at all.

the second one is great! I love it! I'm not sure what to do with the third and fourth though. Maybe a combo of both shots? did you try shooting completely stopped down? I like both, but feel that both shots miss out on the other half that is portrayed in the other one. Get what i mean?

I agree with Brent, that second one is definately a nice photo. The bottom two of have some focussing issues, and the first one seems a tad bland. If you had a shallow DOF on the last one, with the flowers in being crisp, I think that would be much stronger.

Nice set of pictures! My favorite is the third with the flowers... both the third and fourth were very good ideas, but in the fourth picture the flowers are out of focus, and the sun at the left hand side of the picture draws the eye away from the center. You fixed both problems in the third by having the sun behind the flowers
To improve the third picture, I'd do something with the right hand corner of the sky, which is completely colourless and a bit distracting since it clashes a lot with the dark sky in the left part of the picture.

Really enjoyed the 1st-3rd. Woulda been great had you been blessed with more color in the sky for shot #3, but sometimes you have to play the cards you're dealt. Good work.
