    Kitten

Here is a shot I grabbed outside this summer, with my 50mm and my 30D
Any way I can make this photo better? Be honest!

It is quite good as it is. Just a tad more contrast and some focus filter in PS. But quite good as it is it seems.

Adorable! Love the DOF here and the inquisitive look. My only nitpick is the white seems pinkish. Thinking out loud here -- what if you did a B&W? And what about a square crop? -- I tend to lean toward tight crops.

Thanks Paula, Its worth a shot. I think it might of been from the sun, creating the pinky feel.

In my opinion the only thing this shot needs is to have a little more depth of field, an exposure of 1/125 @ F2.8 should have done it. Otherwise an Excellent shot.

Along with the above suggestion, try burning the bright rim. It's the main object I see. - TF

I don't know if that is enough burn or not, but take a look.

Better, the burn helps. Nice shot and the composition is great. A little more DOF would have been nice (as pointed out earlier).

    Re: Kitten

I was trying to get the kitten's face in focus only, I shot it with the 50mm at 1.8.
