    Kiteboarding Action Photos

Kiteboarding shots taken today in San Diego.

    Which, if any, are keepers?

The last one I like alot. I can see the gents eyes and the sky makes him stand out nice.
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..

Tough lighting conditions with the cloud cover and haze, but I do like 3,4, & 5 a lot
Great composition on all of them.

Second and last are pretty awesome. As others say, the light is not spectacular...

That can be fixed with pp.

Great shots at Mission Bay I presume? (USD on the hill in background). Last one stands out for me. Nice work!

    Re: Kiteboarding Action Photos

    Thanks guys.

Definitely kind of blahed out weather-wise today, but shooting in bright sunlight stinks also.

    Some of my own observations.

    - I think what hurts the shots is lack of brightly-colored suits. Black just doesn't pop.
    - Eye contact or at least facial view is so important. It was hard to get flip shots where he was looking towards me. (Greg mentioned this.)
    - The bottom one's better in exposure etc, but there's no context: he's just flying.

Daq, not sure PP can do much more here.

Hexnut, you guessed it - Mission Bay and USD. I guess you've been here.

Jet, I did quite a bit of PP cropping.

I wish I had brought a longer lens btw. I had to wait for them to run close to shore before firing.
