    Kind of ugly

Here's a shot that I kind of like, but it's a kind of ugly place. This is along the marshes at the south end of SF Bay (Near the Dumbarton bridge for you locals). Does this work at all?

    How can I be lost

Oh yea, I think so. What you have going here is some "rules of third" going on horizontally but vertically you have a strong center which I think gives the image some nice tension (boy does that sound full of arty BS or what?!?).

The colors are great and the eye doesn't at first catch the muted hills in the background.

This is a very good photo.

Oh BTW this just proves that you can find beauty in the least expected places if you have the eye to see.
    No, I DON'T need that.

Good work, PC. Interesting framing of this, great symetry and the muted colors work well against eachother.
    nicely done

    Re: Kind of ugly

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment. This is a nice surprise; I honestly expected this one to hang out un-noticed for a while. I'm still at that stage where I can tell what I like and what I don't, but I'm not as sure on the why or how I get there. I really appreciate the feedback.

    Thanks again,

I agree with Everything good everybody said so far. It's a fantastic composition and very well seen.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan
