    Kim - a composite

Back to something a bit more mainstream, and more within my comfort zone
I feel like each of the shots stand on their own, but how do they work as a composite?

    Re: Kim - a composite

jet - I think the concept is good but that there's better arrangements and such to use than the one here. What I see as the main problems are the model is looking away from the camera in not only the main image, but the back one too. The main one is so centered, with the back one sort of off there, that to me they just looks uncreatively placed. Believe me when I say thay I know you can do better than this arrangement. Finally, I think the background is too stark. I personally like white backgrounds because they make the model stand out and have a neat 'minimalist' feel, but to me it's not working here. As an experimental shot this is OK. But applying better composition and contrast control is really needed imo. Hope this ain't overally negative -GB

Appreciate your thoughts. Everything from this shoot was done "high key" so other than replacing the background, it's what I have to work with. I had my reservations about the eye contact thing, but sadly have no full length shots looking straight ahead. Another stab with the main image looking at the camera at least:

I prefer the second one to the first one, but kind of wish the background pose was not so similar to the front one, if that makes sense. The front one she is biting the glove and the back looks like she is about to... I do like the pose of her body better in the second one but the hand needs to do something different.

I think I would like the 1st one if the background image was smaller and there was one behind her head towards the bottom also. The right hand side looks kind of cramped with a lot of negative space behind her head.

    Jet
The pairing of the two images does not work at all for me, in either submissions.
However I think the image of the main subject in the second submission is really excellent and deserves a canvas all of it's own. The look is great and I really like the kind of saucy removal of the glove pose.
But the two mono smaller images are v.good and I feel there is great potential for a composite of, say five or six, such images in different poses along side each other in a frieze style presentation.

Overbeyond, thanks! I think I'm going to bag the composites for a while, although your "frieze" suggestion is intriguing. The original idea came from an Ad I saw in this month's "W" magazine (a fashion rag like Vogue here in the states).
