    Key West Rush Hour

I'm looking into selling some of my prints and wanted to get some honest critiques first. I'd also be interested in knowing how much you would anticipate I could sell this print for in an 8 X 10 matted format.

    Re: Key West Rush Hour

I must say that this is a lovely image, the kind of thing i would expect to see on an office CD as a high resolution photo clipart, wonderful composition and light. It really sets the scene, and i can picture myself looking out from the bay sipping my lemonade & ice (sorry - tea total) Well done and keep shooting!!

When it comes to deciding how much a photo is worth, it all depends on what someone is willing to pay. You could have a look on ebay as there are many people selling photo's there. Alternatively if like me you live in a small coastal town, you could approach local galleries or markets and see if they would be willing to sell your images. Alternatively if you have a local market - try selling them yourself. I was in London last month, and there is a nice man there selling his photos of views around London, with a simple frame in 10 x 8 shots ranging from £8 to £15, and for A4 size £25, and he seemed to be selling them well. Good luck.

It is a saleable photograph. I'd suggest you also think about it in terms of who might purchase it.

If you're going for the weekenders in your area that's one market. If you are targeting local to add to their own decor/collections that's another. The latter is more likely to take home a medium to large print matted and framed. Tourists usually like posters, smaller drymounts, postcards, even T-shirts.

In regards to size, have you enlarged it in the format you are planning on selling it in to see how it really looks? Do you have enough quality in the image to make it big?

Good advice in another post to see what photos like these sell for in your local area.

    Best wishes.
