    Keep Door Closed

I finally got to trespass into the old factory. The wife likes this one but don't like me roaming thru the old place. I haven't done anything to this other than sharpen it some. The light is from the sunrise shining thru some windows on the other side of the door.

    Re: Keep Door Closed

Very pleasing comp and the colors on the door from the sun are nice as well. The only negative that I would put forth here is the obvious hot spot on the windows in the upper third of the middle. Looks like a great location for photos. I'm sure you have more to share.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

If that's sunrise, you must have been wandering around there in the dark.
I think its a great image, too. Maybe bring out the shadowed areas a bit.

    Frog,
I was out at night, this was the last stop of the day. I went back this morning and roamed thru the old factory for about an hour and filled up a two gig card. It's a very sooty place. I can't imaging working there.
    Jay thanks

    Re: Keep Door Closed

Good find and catch, Greg. I like the yello tone of the door against the other wise colorless setting. I would try to bring up a little shadow detail and slightly bring down the highlights as well as burning in the bright spots over the door some. Good framing as well.

i think it would have been good to move about step or two to your right, so we can see something between the left edge of the door and the wall.

    Re: Keep Door Closed

Gary, I will try some burning, my back has gotten a little better and I can get out trespassing some. I hope to get all over this place before it gets torn down.
    ZL, Thanks for the idea.

    Re: Keep Door Closed

Good point, ZL4life. Just having the edge of the door shown would add a certain depth.
