    Kayak Sunrise

Went out on the water to watch the sunrise.

Reached over and held the camera (Olympus EP1 with the Panasonic 7-14mm f4) just above the water.

All the time thinking to myself, "Don't drop it"!

great shot...very calming...it may be just me, but the sun area seems a little out of focus...

    glad you didn't drop it!

went back and looked...i guess it would be out of focus if everything else closer is in focus.

either way...Great Shot! i can actually hear the peacefulness.

Another stunning image from you. If I had to get critical, I would bring up the levels a bit. It really popped when I did a auto level adj in ps. Yeah, I like it that much I had to save it. Hope you don't mind.

With the ultra wide 7mm lens everything from about 2' out is likely in focus, I think what you are seeing is a touch of fog on the horizon.
    No, I DON'T need that.

The sunrise first caught my attention, but as I looked further I noticed many birds in the trees. Were those some type of crane? Did they take off in unison as you floated past?

    Love the photograph.

NO don't drop that lens, that is a $1400.00 lens. Ouch that would hurt.

Beautiful shot. I'm quite partial to refelctions and this one's impressive. I would be curious how the picture would've been without anybody in the boat, but I'm guessing that probably wasn't a feasible option at the time of shooting.

I've got a million of 'em but IMO the boat adds foreground interest.....

    Here's one.
