    Katydids

    Here are a couple of Katydids from the garden after a long rain.

    Both shots are not bad Almo, and I really like the lighting in the first shot. I only wish the branch were not shooting straight out of the subjects head, but the sharpness and lighting on its back I find appealing. And you know your subjects well.

    I find these quite dark in the beakcground, and the subject doesn't really seem to stand out.
    I know, that's the whole point of camouflage

    I agree that stalk in the first shot is distracting, but in macro it's so hard to avoid things ike that. After all he's got to sit on something !

    Overall, these are good shots !


    Superficially a little like grasshoppers, to me.
    Better photo than mine of the Grasshopper though.
