Just testing out my new 50 mm lens

I just bought a new 50 m compact macro lens and was testing it out.
Sorry in advanced, I didn't take the time to fix these pictures nor the time to set up a nice back ground. I used my mat cutter to hold the ruler in place, And double sided tape to hold the quarter to the ruler.

These were taken using a Canon Xt, 50 mm F/2.5 macro lens
first picture 1:10 2 ft.

next is 1:8 1.645 ft.

next is 1:6 1.333 ft.

next is 1:5 1.167 ft.

next is 1:4 1.038 ft.

next is 1:3 .887 ft

next is 1:2.5 .815 ft

And the last one 1:2 .749 ft


Any thoughts.

True it has no Artistic merit, was working with something simple. and yes I did mean to post in this forum.

Does everything have to be fancy to post here, Or can simple work?

OK then...
Critique = first 2 the horizon isn't level, and you cut the date off the quarter in the last one and it seems slightly out of focus.

Seriously, usually those of us that want to share, but aren't necessasarily looking for feedback to improve a particular shot, go ahead and post in the "viewfinder" section. Just as many people will see it there, and it will probably get as many comments as here, but those comments won't be geared toward review of the artistic merits of the photo shared. Honestly, I don't see where these shots have any artistic merit at all - that doesn't mean they aren't important, or that I don't want to look at them, just not in the critique forum.
