    Juniper on a fine day #2

    Here is another with a slightly different composition. Does it make any difference? Compare with the previous post.

    I like the first one you posted too...this one, the tree gets a little tight to the edge of the frame.

    Neat shot though.

    I like this one better. I think the skraggly end of that funky branch pulled my eye out of the frame. It might be better cropped even tighter.
    You have captured the character of the tree well. I wish I could see it in the print.

    I like this one better. I still have a problem with that bare branch. I see why you wanted to shoot/include that as it adds character to the tree. But it seems to make the shot out of whack somehow (being too close to the frame or pointing out of the frame?).

    This shot is a tough one. Kneeling down would have separated the bottom branch from the canyon horizon - but it would have obscured too much of the beautiful background. Perhaps getting closer could have accomplished the separation without losing the background? Don't know if you had a wide enough of a lens though.

    But I agree, it does appear to have been a fine day.
