Seems like your exposure and focus is off the flag and not the model.

Excellent. The semi serious patriotic look and body language of the guy against the flag backdrop works brilliantly. There may well be some minor technical he-cups but they don't bother me.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

    Hi Jason,

I think I prefer your original post. I really like the warmth of the colors and the way they work together. Those tones are lost in the de-saturation. There is plenty to look at and think about in this one which is good, the composition certainly works. I also like the vignetting on the edges. The one thing I wish there were more of was focus on his eyes as his face seems very soft on detail. As it is, it's reminiscent of a polaroid instant print from the 80s, which works well if that's what you were shooting for. Was this cropped from a larger scene or taken on a medium format or is it really a polaroid?
