    Time for Truth (Reuters Photo)

Couldn't let this opportunity go by. What an awesome shot... sorry to dial-up users if it's slow.

Thanks for posting and sharing this. This is a very "timely" piece, no pun intended. (well maybe a bit) Although it is not really my cup of tea, I do appreciate the detail captured in this great huge structure ( Big Ben?)

By the wayPuckJunky, I usually find your comments and critiques very insightful and helpful and more often than not your advice is right on target.
I know you must have a treasure of great photos and images in your collection of work and hope to see you post a few sometime
please do not edit and repost my photos

Thank you for the kind words.

It makes me glad to know some of my comments help others to improve their images. The biggest reason I post here is because in recent times I've had only limited shooting opportunties (due to "day job" constraints and other pressing matters). I feel like if I can't be out there shooting all the time and honing my technique (what I hope to start doing again this year), that it's best to help others improve theirs.

I know that this is a tough business to break into, so anything I can do to help others with the same interests and goals, is a worthwhile endeavor. What's more, I see many elements of my own style in many of the photos shown in this forum. I see things "like what I would shoot", and it helps me to see my own style through another perspective... so in a way I am helping myself too.

Once I have the opporunity to get a regular shooting schedule into the mix, I will certainly post some images here. What I want to avoid is posting a photo once a week and sort of be "on again, off again" with my intensity / how I approach it. I want to dive in once I start up again and really get a creative workflow going where I can frequently bounce ideas off you guys and go right back out and try to improve on whatever it was that I shot.

For now though I am just happy to have Photoshop work flowing across my desk, as it pays the bills (or some of them anyway).
