    Love the face and dirty hands/clothes.
    Though it is centered, it works ok for this shot.
    I do wish his left shoulder wasn't cut off and I think if you played with the levels in photoshop or whatever your editing software is, the b/w conversion would be better.

    The original photo was highly overexposed at the sun-highlight points. To reduce the effects of overexposure I merged a low contrast layer with the original layer. I think it's an improvement.
