    Jamestown, RI - Pilgram's Mill

    Yashicaflex 635 - Gossen with angle attachment

    a Yashica 635, 120 roll - 80mm Yashinon lens and an Agfa Billy 0 (Zero) 127 roll - Solinar 7.5cm lens
    Shooting color with:
    a Yashica-Mat, 120 roll - 80mm Lumaxar lens and a Canon FTb, 135 roll - 55mm and 85mm FD lenses

    Firstly, welcome to the boards and it's always good to see new faces around here.

    For your shot, it's quite interesting, though it doesn't move me in any drastic way. Your colors are great, and the contrast is wonderfull between the blue sky and the ground. The subject is definately interesting though I think a different composition would do this picture well. Ideally, I'd like to see the windmill in the left third of the frame and than just that rock wall for the remaining two thirds. This would give it a great effects and still remain simple.

    A good first shot and hopefully you enjoy your time here!

    Welcome to the forum. This is a fine subject, but i feel it is framed too tightly. Opening up some space in front of the mill and adding some foreground would provide a feel for the location and better set the subject up. Also, a better time of day for lighting would provide a more interesting tones a shadows. looking forward to seeing more of your work with your medium format set-up
