    Does it look better?

I used auto color in PS. Does it look better this way?

I reposted a larger version of this shot because I've decided I like this version better. I like seeing the white plates which help the food stand out more.

    Re: Jambalaya

Very appetizing. I like the 2nd one better. Makes the Jambalya look better. Add a few jalapenos to the cornbread and get a better rootbeer and you'd have a winner!!!!! hehehehe....Ken

    Re: Jambalaya

One of the reasons most of us don't shoot food professionally is because the requirements are extremely tight and perfectionist in nature. Perfect focus and perfect sharpness throughout the photo and that is why large format cameras are most often used as well as tripods and very bright lights for even lighting throughout the frame. At the same time the lighting must be at the perfect angle to emphasize texture and of course colour must be even more appetizing than real life.

A lot of study and work with a top food photographer would be necessary to learn the considerable number of tricks to the trade and craft of food photography.

Nice try, but you have a very long way to go to even come close, as any of us would.
