    I've been to Venice...

    California, that is.

Got there late in the afternoon this weekend, so there wasn't a whole lot of available light left. But I do like the reflection of the house and the bridge in this picture. Applied a soft oil pastel action in PS along with curves and selective color adjustments. Comments and critique welcome.

I like the colors, scene, clarity, sharpness ,etc.I like the effect you got with the oil pastel applied, nice touch. I would only say that I feel the photo would be better if the left side hedges and part of tree were cropped out. or the part of the tree on the right side, whichever one . I just feel like too much "framing " coming in from both sides. Just my opinion. Still like the shot but feel a crop would enhance.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I was concerned about the low lighting but if ya'll like it then I'm pleased.

About the crop, gahspidy, the image has already been cropped to take out certain unwanted elements, but I left the trees the way they are because to me it feels as if the house is "boxed in" the frame, thus drawing the viewer's eyes to the house and its reflection. But I appreciate your suggestion.
