    It's no Sphinx

    Came upon this scene driving through some countryside. The angles were totally unconventional (road was cut deeply below the fields) and it reminded me of those stone lions you see at the libraries.

    This has a lot of humor in it

    I think what takes away from it is the inclusion of the foreground in the shot. Recompose with the cow a little more central to the frame and include more sky and less foreground and I think you've got it! Very funny!

    I don't think it's blurry but the soft focus foreground isn't really contributing to the shot. The sky and scene are gorgeous though. Crop to just below the first set of crumbling wall rocks and this is a real winner. Nice pic. Loupey.

    Thanks for the comments. I'm thinking about making this a panoramic to cut out the foreground as suggested. But I like keeping the bovine extremely off center.

    Hope I can get enough detail from the slide/scan to get a decent enlargement

    I agree with the others about the cropping of the foreground out. I like the color range, and the title definately makes this picture. Composition is strong too.

    Nice job.
