    I am not real sure why but the first one does nothing for me....I think that without the second picture, the first one is kind of confusing......also, I would crop the top of the glass off.

    The second picture, I like. I like the composition of it, it is not your average plant shot, I like that. The lighting is great too! Good Job!

    I actually like the first one better. The depth of field is perfect, the colors are great, and I think that works well with it's abstract look.

    I'll agree with Chow, the first one doesn't do anything for me. I guess it could be appreciated for the abstract value, though it just doesn't work for me.

    I love the second one, the natural sunlight is a great addition. I'm not sure how I feel about cropping out the pot, but I think it works, though I'd be interested to see what it would look like just to have the full pot in there and kind of a simplistic feel on it.
