    Intro

First post. As name implies, just learning this digital stuff. Camera is Canon EOS Rebel XTi, lenses are 24-70 f2.8L and 70-200 f2.8L IS. Took this picture at my son's Air Force Basic Training graduation ceremony. The full size picture looks a little sharper, don't have Photoshop, only the editing software that came with the camera. What do you think? (Not seeing the picture on the preview, I'll hit post and see what happens) I knew I should have investigated further, here is the link to photobucked, will see how to do it properly next time. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I see the picture, and it looks like you were working under some overcast skies. It looks like you need to expose a little more to get some light on the uniforms, or maybe adjust levels if you can. I don't know what kind of software Canon supplies, but you can pick up some decent photo imaging software for around $100, or download Picasa, which is free.
Welcome to PR. Hope to see much more from you. Wish your son well for me.

Thanks for the reply. You're right, it was solid overcast and low enough that they cancelled the bomber fly over. I have played with it some since putting the picture on photobucket and it looks a little better. I studied photography some a number of years ago but family and work got in the way. Just getting back to it so very out of practice, and know basically nothing about post processing, looking forward to some critiques and advice.

    Re: Intro

Do you have an editing program?
Should be able to up the exposure if you shot in raw. It'll make background brighter too, though unless you're better at it than I.
