Into the darkness

While we were out riding last night at point I saw this.

2 riders ( standing ) with the 3rd one behind them , no Flash just the light from the HID's

I can see why you took this, any chance you can get a little more from the image in Photoshop? The third light defining the sillouhette of the rifer on the right helps enormously but sadly IMO there just isn't enough light in the image overall.

Very interesting, my first thought upon seeing this wasn't bicyclists but spelunkers! I like the nimbus of rainbow and fog around the most prominent helmet. But I wish I could see just a bit more of the scene in general. Cool catch.

How about a crop from the left and the top?

Well, I'm sorry to say I don't see anything here.
I think if it had been me I would have just let them ride on by without knowing there could have been anything good to photograph.

That "mist" is actually Steam coming off of us riders. and well how is this I cropped it and lightened it up as best I could ( since I did not use a flash )

Personally I dig it as it is (for the most part). It's dark but I don't think that we have to see more. I have enough informations to figure out the scene and the darkness adds a sense of mystery. My only critique is about the noise all over the picture. If you could turn it down to some extends in post processing the final result would be even more impactful.
