    Virginia is awesome!

I just got back from my first trip to the East Coast...I didn't have time to take a lot of pictures, but here's a few...They're all from the same place, but I couldn't decide which one I liked best...

Sorry for this short comment, but I cannot put into words why, but I feel the third image is the most powerful and appealing, for me. In this shot, the elements are better defined and more prominent, whereas the others they are all lost together in a green muddle.

Looks like a scene out of Deliverance! I like the second one, the composition I find is more peaceful, and it lacks the clump of root that the other ones have. Well done.

I like the third as well. I think it's because the water seems to be actually sliding away from the viewer. Almost like you can slide right along with it. The dark tree anchors it for me. I do like the second but the third to me is more dynamic and makes you feel more involved. IMHO, of course!

Yes it is awesome! where in VA is this? I think they are all gorgeous but i agree that the third just rules. The lighting is better and the movement is very realistic. Can you imagine growing up in a place like this. Its so comforting and tranquil. Again, that last shot shows what you were trying to capture. I love the feeling.
