    Interesting background?

    This shot isn't good, but does this pickett fence backgound have much interest in a country quaint way?

    Actually, I think this shot isn't that bad at all composition-wise. Would like to see the contrast/brightness adjusted though. Perhaps crop the top a bit, too. As for the fence, I don't feel like you said. Look too new, maybe

    I like the fence, and I like the front flower a lot. I just don't like them both at the same time

    But cropping off the pointy tops of the fence boards mitigates it somewhat. I'd then work on bringing out the highlights a little more in post processing - that front flower is so nice, but it needs a bit more pop.

    Thanks. I didn't edit this at all, I was just seeing if I should reshoot it with the fence or have the foliage as a background. The other side of the fence would be better of course.

    BC two things I see. I would level the fence and take the power pole out.
