    Intake

    Here is a shot of an intake pipe from a dam that was built in the 1840s. The dam is long gone, and most of the intake pipes were removed from the area in the 1940s to be used in the war effort, but this old soldier was left behind.

    I love the rivetwork where the different sections are joined.

    I like the rivet work also. This is a good subject laying out there in the woods. I think you have framed it up well.

    This is a most interesting subject! Very intricate rivet work and you were able to capture it nicely.
    I like the entire scene, something like this popping up in nature.
    I think the angle inwhich you shot it is great, and the subtle softening of the image as the depth increases is a nice touch.

    Thanks to both of you for your comments... I've thought about co-opting your idea, Gary, and crawling inside to shoot out.. The gentleman who owns the property has told me I can come back anytime to shoot more pix.
