    Inspired by Greg...

    but not as good.
Waiting for wife the other night just before dark with some storm light so grabbed camera and started walking around. Tried several shots of this place but had difficulty with passing cars..it was evening rush hour and waited for other people but only got a couple of them. May have to go back and try this again when area is less busy. Do you think its worth trying ? Any advice on composition, etc?

Try a reshoot with the camera pointing perpendicular to the store (instead of at an angle showing depth).. Also, I think a very simple composition with just the door would be interesting. As would putting the doors at a 1/3 line and including one of the windows

I agree, try composing it head on from the left edge of the bldg. to the left edge of the right window. There's a lot of complimentary colors going on in the neon signage.

Well worth a reshoot. I just takes patience. Sometimes I pass a place for weeks before I get the elements right. The last bar shot took a long time because the place is usually hopping and a dozen cars in the way. The lighting here is perfect. It just needs that right person in it.

You cut off the right hand edge of the store. I think it would work better if the whole building were visible. Alos does seem a bit dark to me.

Thanks all! I have other angles but non seem better than another.
Its dark because it was almost dark....maybe 15 minutes until totally dark.
I'm sort of happy that my cloning skills must be improving a bit as no one noticed where I cloned out part of a car.
The light with the neons is what attracted my eye.
