    Indian Sadhu

Here is a really interesting individual I met in India. Should this have been a tighter crop? I felt it was important to include the flowers in the background. Other ideas please share them.

    thanks shane

I like the photo here. Nice understated colors too. The flowers are a nice touch. You cropped just right for what your intentions were. I would have done the same.

I think the picture is nice, very interesting portrait shot. I do think the flowers are essential, but the colors of the flowers are considerabely more vivid than the man. Maybe tweak around with the contrasts and color levels to try and balance it out. Can i post a tweaked version of your work ?

    Overall lovely portrait, well done!

Its a tad rough, just try to strike the balance of saturation.

    thanks Laurie

He does seem to pop out more. In the original the green foliage seems to reduce his presence.

I'm not sure it needs the artificial pop.

I was struck in the original by how the muted colours seem to draw him into the natural background, implying a harmony with nature.

Have to say that I think the original is great. Only slight problem I have is with the small bit of background, to the left of the mans head, being a bit burnt out.
    But a lovely shot nontheless.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan
