    Impressionist Photo

I am almost scared to post this picture. Most I show it to just don't get it. I read about this impressionist technique on a photographers web site and thought that I would give it a try. Love it or hate it let me know what you think and why?

Yes, it is impressionist style. The complementary colour works very well. Thanks for sharing.

    Re: Impressionist Photo

Seems more abstract than impressionist. I can usually identify a subject fairly easily in impressionist works.
The colors here are pleasing and there is some feel for the play of light across the scene but overall it doesn't trip my trigger. I don't know what you want to express here, but then I'm pretty dullwitted when it comes to a lot of the abstract expressionist works. For instance, Jackson Pollock's work leaves me unmoved and much of the stuff you see being taught in University art classes as well. OTH, I love most of the impressionist's works.
If this type of work moves you, it is definately worth more investigation. Do you have some more examples? It's hard to judge things like this from just one image. Have fun with it.

Thanks for the advise. Look at this guys web site and you will see what I was trying for. If my picture sucks I want to know it. It's the only way I will ever get better. So spare no mercy on me and Thanks. I have no more examples yet but I may try this again soon.
