Oh Susaan...I think you have missed your calling. This is fantastic...and you actually (unlike moi) go out and learn how to improve things and really use your camera to its full potential. I hope you do many more of these flowers on black...this pictures is awesome.

Next lens. . . all i can say is my two favorite lenses to date are my Canon 85mm 1.8, and the Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS (this is one awesome lens. . .)

Congrats on the sticky Susann! I like the version with more space at the top. Very nice. The flower itself is quite interesting: it is not one of those super pretty flowers, but one that you can view for a longer time and not get tired of looking at. More depth, so to speak. But the way it's turned away from the lens makes it seem like a closed book too, which sort of makes it less personal or more mysterious, depending on how you look at it.
