    Re: Iguana

Nice pic, herriot. I love it, but there seems to be some spots that are a little hot. Right along the top of his head between the eyes and nose; the running down his neck; and then right under his jaw. That area may not be too bad since it is a little out of focus. The DOF is nice and really makes you concentrate on him. You might try a contrast mask on the image and see if that takes care of the hot spots.

I showed this picture to my 5 year old daughter this morning and she squealed and said Mama is that a dragon? Clearly, the impact is there.

He's a beautiful old boy. Very nice character portrait. One little nit is that I would have liked a bit more DOF to really show off that salty nostril!

    Herriot,

What an ugly brute - Self portrait :-)

I think it looks good and can't decide if more DOF is required. Perhaps a small bit of adjustment on the nose and the photo would be perfect. However, Its one to pleased of.

    Excellent

    Re: Iguana

Thank you all for your comments, I agree about the top of the head and I was not entirely sure how to correct some of the blur.

After playing around I think that cropping might produce some simple and interesting results so will post more later.

    Kind regards
    Herriot
