    Thanks Jared!

For everyone you see many more have found their way into the recycle bin. But this is one idea that I have been toying around with for months.

Know the feeling about only getting one good one and a few dozen bad ones. Don't you wish everyshot was a keeper?!

Whether or not you choose to take these types of shots is up to you. I don't know if it is your intent to start some controversy by suggesting, taking these kinds of pics but I find the idea to be distasteful.

I have no intention of trying to sart anything. I am just trying out different ideas for self portraits.

    I appreciate your opinion...

Hi Almo, personnally, i think it a very interesting idea for a self portrait series, but i have no doubt you will shock a lot of people and many will find it distasteful and provocative as this is very close to the bone. This is a very "dark" idea, and i would imagine that these self portraits would be very soul revealing for anyone who's been in this position(God forbid). There is humor there but very few people will see it or like it( photo session: "and here is one of me in Irak, and here is one of me in Cuba, and here is one of me in China..." )

You certainly have started something, and it certainly feels controversial.Good luck

Re: Is this an idea worth pursuing?

Many people do all kinds of things, some like it, some don't.

If you're asking ME if it's an idea worth pursuing, I would say no, because I shy away from suggestions of violence since it disturbs me. So I'm not your audience, I guess.

But someone else will say yes, and so they're your audience.

What are you asking when you say "worth pursuing"? What kinds of feedback are you expecting?

Will it look good? Depends on how you execute the idea (notice I had to word that sentence carefully...)

Will it find an audience? You'll have a limited audience ... if you try to teach a universal lesson, your audience will open up. If you want to emulate a horror scene, your audience will only consist of those who like that kind of stuff.

Will it sell? Only to the right buyer.

Will it be fun to do? My guess is yes, it will be enjoyable to try to pull off your desired look.

I guess I'd like more info on what you're trying to accomplish, before *I* personally can answer that question.

    Hello Almo
Whether it's worth persuing is something for you to decide for yourself. Personally, for me it's not because there are far more interesting areas to be covered photographically. These sort of images have been seen, for donkeys years, in various movies, graphic novels and magazines etc. so lack any originality. Is it bad taste? No.
What is good taste for that matter? Who's to decide?
