Took this one last winter and kinda forgot about it. I might have passed it over because my point and shoot digi left that weird "pink" colorization in the highlights of the icicles.

Anyway, what do you think?

Kinda makes me want to wait to see if any icecicles break off and puncture the leaf. Nicely done.

Cool pic (pun intended)! You know that to get rid of the pink color you can use the red-eye brush? Just set it for first click and magnify the image to make sure you don't grab some green or white from the rest of the image. Replace it with one of the other icicle colors. Works for that 'icky' purple of CA as well!

I would keep the pink looks good as far as colour is concerend. I like the way the icicle is assimilating the leaf.

good composition with the fringe of icicles, colors are good (don't mind the rosy glow, although reading the other comments, found the remark about using the red-eye feature to remove it enlightening). the only "but" is precisely with the leaf, it adds interest to the composition, but this particular leaf ... (I know, it's winter, it's freezing, leaves are dead) ... I think something not quite so stiff, or another color perhaps, would do better.

Nice capture, Rick...I too kinda like the "pink" icicles...adds a different flavor to the mix. I also agree that the leaf leaves something to be desired, but sometimes we're stuck with what we have and I think you did a great job with this capture!!!
