As soon as i opened this thread and saw the image i thought ooh! i like this, and thats what i like to feel, i could scrutinise over it trying to find things to criticise, but........hey, i cant find anything, its great. Oh and GB1 you are toooo wicked! he he.
Yoyo, I think GB's on the right track as far as upping the contrast. O/W this is a nice shot. At first glance I thought maybe a little crop off the left of the picture would tidy it up a bit, but now that I look again, I think it looks pretty spot on.
There is a nice, sleepy softness to this that upping the contrast might destroy. Perhaps a tiny bit of sharpening would suit.
In this case I would go for the squarer (such a word?) format by cropping the left to about an inch from her tail, thus putting a little more emphasis on her peaceful pose.
But still very nice as it is.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan
If you're cropping from the left so that it's closer to that dangling front paw, would you crop exactly to the boundary between light and dark on the rear wall, so that you have an even background? That's almost a square crop.

Yes thats more or less what I had in mind. No problem being square to me.

This is lovely and I agree with the crop from the dark side. Keep the contrast and sharpness as is for me because it gives it that dream quality.
Now to introduce Meggie my terrier to the mix and watch that room get shredded - LOL

Hi GB, Thanks for the comments. Your naughty idea tells me that you are young at heart ;).
Hi Bevb, I am glad that the shot works for you.
Hi swmdrayfan, Thanks for telling me what you think.
Hi SmartWombat, I agree that a square crop would give a more balance impression.
Hi Tom, Thanks for the comments as always.
Hi Roger, Thnaks for the comments. The cat is called Lulu. I guess he would have lost a few pounds if Meggie were present because of the chasing game ;).
