    Hummingbird butterfly

    Hey guys,

Any thoughts on this one? i know its not a carlogalliani, but i do feel the flowers add something to this photo. Let me know what you think.

I'm thinking it could be closer to the insect, with maybe just one of the flowers showing. As it is, it's a flower picture with a bug in it.

hah, I think it's a bug picture with food (flowers) in it!

The humming bird hawk moth Macroglossum stellatarum is sadly very rare around here.
Where I worked in Germany they were common - the almost compulsory window boxes with red flowers in were a good food source

The image is busy and its elements run together.

    Re: Hummingbird butterfly

    Hi again,

First off thanks for the feedback so far.
    I made two edits:
    - Does any of the two make matters better (or worse)?
    - Is the image quality still acceptable?

    Take 2

    Take 3

I prefer both of those over the original, and even though I'm the one that said just the one flower, I prefer the first edit. But the second one would work with less material at the bottom, with the insect at 1/3 from the bottom instead of 1/2.
